Swim England Laws and Regulations and Swim England Technical Rules of Swimming, <\/span>and each heat will be scrutinised by a qualified official and timed by an experienced Club volunteer. \u00a0These times are important as they are used in selection for other galas. Each race is divided into heats, which are seeded according to submitted times. \u00a0 Medals are awarded to the three fastest swimmers in each age group and event (boys and girls). \u00a0 Trophies are awarded for the most points scored within each age group.<\/p>\nWe encourage all swimmers to enter as many events as possible, and certainly at least one event.<\/p>\n
If your child enters, please provide them with a drink in a plastic bottle, a spare towel and a T-shirt, because once on poolside they must stay there. \u00a0As the Leisure Centre is small, it does get somewhat hot!… you may need a drink yourself.<\/p>\n
