Essex Swimming League

Saffron Seals are currently not entered into this league.   It is hoped that the club can re-join in the near future.

About Essex Swimming League
The League has four galas a season, held at pools with six lanes or more.  These are spread between January and June. This type of fixture has a good atmosphere and generates real team spirit, with swimmers cheering their fellow club members on and offering support.

A change in format of the league was instigated in  2019.  After each round the two top clubs of Division Two are now promoted to Division One and the bottom two clubs of Division One relegated to Division Two.  We hope this will add a further element of excitement!

SWSC have a selection committee who will pick teams dependent upon the the criteria for the individual event.  If your child is picked the Club expects he/she to participate and it is important that you as parents encourage them to attend.

Remember if you are picked to represent the Seals the swimmer must wear SWSC club colours. Please ensure your child has a drink in a plastic bottle to take with them and possibly a light snack as well.

Parental help at these events is always welcome. If you feel you could assist in any way please contact a member of the committee – they would be most happy to hear from you.

We as a club always need new officials. If you are interested in perhaps obtaining a proper qualification such as a Timekeeper, Judge or Starter please also contact a Committee Member.
