SwimMark Essential Health Check

We are very pleased to say that our SwimMark health check has been confirmed.    The club’s full accreditation (all 15 elements) is renewable every two years and must be completed by July 2023.

🥇Amazing Results for Saffron Seals

Saffron Seals swimmers have delivered incredible results at the Swim England Essex County Age
Group
and East Region Championships in 2024.

In total 22 Seals swimmers qualified for the County Championships and these swimmers made 13
finals – a record haul for the club.

Edie Foster became Seals’ very first County Champion winning the 50m Freestyle and she followed that by becoming the Regional Champion for 100m Freestyle.

Edie also achieved two silver medals (100m Freestyle and 50m Butterfly) at the County Championships and came third in 50m Freestyle and 5th in 100m Butterfly at Regionals.

Some of the Qualifiers for Essex Championships

Five Seals swimmers qualified for the Regional Championships: Edie Foster, Hadley Harris, Ashton
Lowe, Harry Johnson and Theo Bari. Excellent results were achieved with all five swimmers
gaining personal best times, and Theo joined Edie in making a regional final – coming fifth in the
100m freestyle final.

Qualifiers for Swim England East Region championships

Seals’ Head Coach and former Olympian, David Lowe, was incredibly proud of all the swimmers
who competed at the County and Regional Championships, congratulating them on their success.
Seals also competes as a team in the Essex Mini League and has achieved a 3rd place finish and a
win in the two most recent galas.

Club Chairman, John Stirling, paid tribute to the fantastic coaching team and the incredible
support of parents who volunteer to support the swimmers at competitions, in training, and
behind the scenes.
